Hello weary internet traveler. Take respite in the comfort of yonder blog and let me regale you with a tale of intrigue and adjustable ski boots. Mostly the latter. But they are intriguing, so I take that back, this tale IS full of intrigue (and adjustable ski boots).
The boot in question is none other than the Roces 6-in-1 Adjustable Kid’s Boot. This boot comes in 3 sizes (a small, medium, and large version) that run from shoe sizes (children’s) 8-12 for the small, 13-3 for the medium (with 13 being a child’s size again, and 3 being a youth/men’s size), and the biggest Roces boot is suitable for skiers’ with a shoe size of (men’s) 4-7.
These boots come in an array of colors, some girly and some boy-eey, and some are pretty unisex so you can hand them down from girl to boy then back to girl again (then back to boy if you have 4 kids that go in alternating gender, and you would like all of them to learn to ski).
The boots’ outer shell remain the same length (boot sole length, BSL) for their entire lifespan, so you won’t need to remount your children’s ski bindings as their feet grow–just expand the boot. The interior of the boot has an accordion style liner that can be comfortably locked in at 6 settings (hence the 6-in-1) for every half size from the start of the range to the end of it. So the small boots can be set to 16.0, 16.5, 17.0, and so on until 18.5.
We’ve sold literally truckloads of these boots, and have only gotten great feedback. These boots will last for 3 years assuming your child is at the beginning of the adjustment range in year 1, and are of a higher make quality than most other kid’s boots that we’ve sold. When one kid has grown out of the boots, just pass them down the next little one, these are the boots that keep on giving.
Here is a link to customer reviews of the Roces 6-in-1 boot. If you don’t have time to read the reviews, i’ll give you the cliffsnotes: Out of the 36 customer reviews, 33 customers rated this product 5 out of 5 stars, and the remaining 3 rated the boots a still respectable 4 stars out of 5. Also the words “great” and “fantastic” made about eleventy million appearances.
